Araceli Vázquez’s Profile
Araceli is one of the few bilingual/bicultural dietitians in North Texas. She began her career in nutrition in 1996 after a successful career as a Microbiologist. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge in community, clinical, bariatric, and renal nutrition. Her ability reach audiences with diverse cultural backgrounds and a variety of dietary needs, allows her to provide individual patients, families, and corporate clients with sound practical advice.
Background
MS in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University and a BS in Chemistry and Biology from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in México City. She is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Texas. She holds a Certificate in Adult Weight Management and a Certificate in Children and Adolescents Weight Management from the American Dietetic Association(ADA). She currently performs private nutritional consulting in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and is an adjunct professor of Nutrition at the Dallas Country Community College District(DCCCD). Her military experience spans both the Army and Navy Reserves. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association (ADA), Texas Dietetic Association (TDA), and Dallas Dietetic Association (DDA). She is also active with the online networking newsgroups of Bariatric dietitians throughout the country. Her community volunteer activities incude providing nutrition classes at the North Texas Food Bank

My mission is to excel in providing clients with timely and practical nutrition consulting services in order to assist them in accomplishing their nutritional goals and ultimately, healthful aging and a productive well being. This is supported by my clinical, as well as community nutrition educator background, attention to detail and client focus and a quest for excellence in all our endevours.
